Jimmy Makiyama began his sushi Journey 21 years ago as an apprentice sushi chef in the heart of Japanese food capital, Kobe-Osaka. Master Sushi Chef Makiyama has been the mastermind behind several highly popular sushi restaurants still operating in Japan to this day.
In July 2014, Master Sushi Chef Makiyama opened the doors to the first of his traditional, authentic Osaka Kaiten Sushi Restaurant at Q1 on the Gold Coast. From the décor to the outstanding service of the staff, you will feel like you have walked into the restaurant at the Q1 to find you have arrived in Osaka Japan.
This is truly the closest you will get to Osaka outside of Japan. We invite you to take the journey. Don’t just eat sushi! Experience it the way it is meant to be experienced skillfully hand made by a Japanese Master Sushi Chef.
